Leadership Wake Forest provides tools to explore leadership skills, connect with Wake Forest’s top influencers, and discover ways to make a difference in the community. The program is designed for local professionals who may be new to the area, their position, or an industry.

Participants meet once a month for nine months of high-level interactive sessions, panel discussions and informal Q&A forums. They receive in-depth instruction on such subjects as the town’s history and government structure, the economic development landscape, the local educational arena, and the ins and outs of volunteerism, among other topics. In addition, the curriculum is supplemented with on-site tours to a variety of area businesses, and hands-on activities and simulations.

At the conclusion of the Leadership Wake Forest program, participants will have:

• Enhanced their knowledge of, and commitment to, the Wake Forest area;
• Developed leadership skills and formed beneficial professional relationships;
• Have a deeper understanding of the forces and trends affecting the community’s development, and the importance of enhanced cooperation among local businesses in advancing the town’s political, cultural and economic agenda; and,
• Embraced the opportunity to expand their involvement in community affairs and be open to exploring and assuming new leadership responsibilities.
