The Foundation believes that excellent teachers are the bedrock of the Wake Forest school system as they infuse their students with a love of learning and enrich their knowledge base. Passion, leadership, in-depth knowledge of subject matter, dedication, an engaging personality and teaching style, and a genuine caring for their students are just some of the qualities that truly excellent teachers bring to the classroom.
Excellence needs to be rewarded. That is why every month the Foundation joins with Huntington Learning Center to celebrate the contributions of a local area teacher who has been selected by his or her school principal or administrator for outstanding performance. At a special ceremony, the recipient is honored with a plaque and gift basket.
